Vocalist-guitarist Robert Maxwell Case entertains South Central Texas audiences
with a smooth, classic country style, reminding listeners of his primary
influences: Jim Reeves, Ray Price, Eddy Arnold, and Don Williams. A
self-contained soloist, Mr. Case provides a listenable and danceable
dining/cocktail lounge format.
In November 2008, Mr. Case will celebrate 35 years as a professional
entertainer. During the past seven years, he has performed regularly at: the
Gruene Mansion Inn Restaurant (now the Gruene River Grill) in Gruene, The
Lakeview Restaurant in Hancock, Ed's Old Windmill Restaurant in Fischer, Anchor’s Landing Restaurant in Startzville, and Riley’s Rockin’ R Steakhouse in Blanco.
From 1989 through 1998, he performed in the famed country music resort town of
Branson, MO. Mr. Case entertained at such Branson establishments as: the
Country Pub Lounge (now Montana Mike’s Lounge) on the Highway 76 strip (four seasons), Roy Clark's Loft in the Lodge
of the Ozarks (one season), the Polynesian Princess dinner boat attraction on
Table Rock Lake (Music Director, five seasons), and the Canteen Restaurant in
the Lawrence Welk Theater and Resort (one season). Simultaneously, he performed
seven winter seasons (1990-1995, 1998) at Central Florida's western-themed
resort, Westgate River Ranch.
The first fifteen years of his career (1973-1988) Mr. Case headquartered in
Rochester, NY. In 1988, a "Best Of" Readers' Poll in the Gannett/Rochester
Sunday Democrat & Chronicle named him "Best Country Music Act" for that metropolitan region. He
originally hails from Western New York state, born in Olean and raised in the
rural village of Franklinville. He began performing part-time in 1958 and
started his professional career in 1973.
During his career, Mr. Case has recorded for Herb Alpert's A&M Records and extensively on his own labels. He has appeared as opening act in
concert with: George Strait’s Ace In The Hole Band, Asleep At The Wheel, Earl Poole Ball, The Bellamy
Brothers, Little Jimmy Dickens, Hank Williams Sr.'s Drifting Cowboys, David
Houston, Sonny James, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ricky Nelson, Patti Page, Carl Perkins,
Riders In The Sky, Marty Robbins, Ronny Robbins, Cal Smith, the Statler
Brothers, Two Tons Of Steel, and Tammy Wynette.
